Sentence Combining

1.The dog followed Mary for about half a mile and it stayed close behind her, but she forced her self to stay calm.
2.While she tried to stay calm the dog followed her into the dark, and he kept behind her for half a mile.
3.The dog followed her for a mile, but Mary tried to stay calm.

Mary was on her way to grandmas house she noticed there was a dog right behind her, so she tried to stay calm as long as she could. The dog was big and black, he frightened her. It was for a half a mile.
